KentuckyOne formed earlier this year when St. Joseph Health System in Lexington and Louisville, Ky.-based Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare merged.

A system spokesperson attributed the layoffs to a decrease in patient demand, according to the report. The types of positions eliminated and how many layoffs would occur at each hospital were not confirmed.
