Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CEO named to Loyola University Health System board

Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola University Health System is welcoming Omar Duque, president and CEO of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to its board.

A Chicago native, Mr. Duque is very involved in the local community, particularly in regards to entrepreneurship and the role it plays in community building. As head of the IHCC, Mr. Duque helps Hispanic entrepreneurs launch and grow their companies, through many different pathways. He has founded the Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurship summer program for Chicago high school students called ENTERpreneur.

Mr. Duque also serves as secretary of the board and chairman of the finance committee for Northeastern Illinois University. He is an alum of Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.

"We are honored to have Mr. Duque join our board and look forward to working with him in our mission of providing people-centered care," LUHS President and CEO Larry Goldberg said in a statement.
