The Culture of Safety Hospital Accountability Act (S. 3596) would allow federal and state health agencies and hospitals to work together to implement and promote best practices for improving quality and patient safety, according to the report.
The American Hospital Association has publicly supported the bill, calling it “essential to achieving the promise of healthcare reform.”
