Hoboken University Medical Center in New Jersey Reaches Agreement With Nurses’ Union

HUMC Holdco, the new owners of Hoboken (N.J.) University Medical Center, has reached an agreement on a new labor contract with unionized registered nurses, according to a Jersey Journal report.

Under the new agreement, registered nurses will see “moderate” raises over the three-year life of the contract; a new policy for using sick time; and a merged vacation/personal time system. Registered nurses also lost pension benefits under the collective bargaining agreement, which expires Sept. 2014.
