The two hospitals, which merged in 2007, consolidated services post-merger so that services offered at both hospitals are now only offered at one facility. Currently, both hospitals remain open, offering separate services. The health system is expected to make a final decision on a closure in next few months, according to the report. The move is intended to reduce overhead costs.
