HCA’s Research Belton Hospital Becomes Belton Regional Med Center

Research Belton (Mo.) Hospital, part of the HCA Midwest Health System in Kansas City, Mo., has announced a name change to Belton Regional Medical Center, effective April 1.

The use of “regional” reflects the addition of comprehensive services that make the hospital a destination facility rather than a jumping point for a higher level of care, according to the report. The change from “hospital” to “medical center” is intended to reflect the service shift as well.
