Mr. Jackson served as administrator of the New Bern Outpatient Surgery Center and assistant administrator of Craven Regional Medical Center. He joined the Craven staff in 1962 and served at the hospital until 1982. He oversaw the surgery center from 1982 until his retirement, according to the report.
Mr. Jackson will receive the Foundation’s 2010 Health Care Award of Excellence, which recognizes “healthcare professionals who are exemplary, who make the extra effort and take the extra time to bring quality healthcare to all in need,” according to the report.
