CEO Mark Peters said the decision gives patients more time to transition to new insurance plans.
Blue Cross has provided its policy holders with a list of physicians who have admitting privileges to East Jefferson but remain in-network, according to the report. The insurance company has emphasized the increased out-of-pocket costs for patients who use an out-of-network provider.
