ProvenCare: How to Deliver Value-Based Healthcare The Geisinger Way offers lessons in care redesign and management and looks at the innovations in quality and cost that started in Geisinger but have been spread through xG Health Solutions, the consulting firm Dr. Steele chairs.

“At Geisinger, we defined innovation as fundamentally changing how we care for patients,” Dr. Steele said. “Our innovation efforts began with a focus on creating an active interaction between the patient and the provider to achieve better outcomes, without driving up costs. We achieved this through our early adoption of an EHR, and initiatives such as ProvenHealth Navigator and ProvenCare; and now, through xG, these proven, value-based solutions have been scaled and generalized for providers, insurers, employers, and are available in leading [EHRs].”

The book is available for purchase online and at bookstores.
