Construction Begins on Pheobe Sumter Hospital in Georgia

Construction has begun on the new Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Ga., according to a report by WTVM News.

The four-story, 76-bed hospital is expected to open at the end of 2011. Three free-standing medical office buildings will also be constructed on its campus to house oncology, orthopedics, women’s and children’s services and surgery, according to the report.
