The 148,000 square-foot facility will meet California’s seismic standards and will feature 44 private rooms, a 20-bed emergency department and an expanded operating suite.

Another feature of the hospital will be what has been termed “key adjacencies” or strategic placement of certain types of rooms near services designed to eliminate duplication of testing facilities and unnecessary movement of patients from their rooms.
