Johns Hopkins Medicine entered discussions to integrate with Sibley in May. The deal still requires regulatory approval. The FTC and the District of Columbia State Health Planning and Development Agency need to approve the deal, but the decisions are expected within several days.
If approved, the 328-bed Sibley would become a wholly owned subsidiary of Hopkins Medicine. The deal will not involve a money exchange.
