Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh gets $100k boost from Steelers' receiver Antonio Brown

Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will present a $100,000 check to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (Pa.) on Friday, reports the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Mr. Brown posted a photo of the check on Snapchat Tuesday night, which is how Greg Barrett, president and chief development officer of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh's foundation, learned about the donation.

"There were little rumblings that he was going to do something, but when we saw the photo it was totally amazing," Mr. Barrett told the Post Gazette. "In a word, wow. He just completely stunned everybody."

According to the report, Mr. Brown hopes his donation would allow kids being treated at the hospital to have a memorable Christmas. While this is the first time he has made such a large charitable donation, Mr. Brown said he plans to further help the community in the future, according to the report.
