In a speech at his installation, Alexander J. Hatala said inadequate state reimbursements make it more difficult for New Jersey hospitals to reach their goal of delivering healthcare services to all, regardless of ability to pay.
Mr. Hatala, CEO of Lourdes Health System, said the payment system should emphasize better care rather than more care and hospitals need to use digital data to evaluate health care effectiveness.
