Q: How do you plan to pivot strategies this year to better serve patients?
Liam Woodard: We’ve got to continue to drive value, focus on patient access and meet the patients where they want to engage with their care. To do this, all Providers will have to consider unique payment models, leverage technology, and keep that patient experience front and center.
Q: What will the lasting legacy of COVID-19 be on the healthcare system?
LW: We’re loving how technology can be leveraged to reduce patient access issues, drive care through the digital front door, and how technology can be used to stay better connected with our patients daily. Additionally, the ability to leverage data across the healthcare continuum is becoming more accessible every day. Technology tools designed to improve quality, reduce spending, increase clinical efficiency, and identify care gaps are just a few of the exciting trends we’re seeing and are eager to leverage where appropriate.
Q: What advice do you have for emerging healthcare leaders today?
LW: Seek to serve. Volunteer. Never stop learning. Find good mentors that will be truthful and open with you and areas you can grow in. Think deeply about what aspect of healthcare you’d like to serve in – patient-facing, hospitality, technology, media, operations, supply chain, research, data, there are so many opportunities!
