The seven-hospital system did not disclose details as far as locations affected by the layoffs. However, a spokesperson told the station Aug. 19 that the layoffs occurred last month and primarily affected nonclinical positions across various departments.
The spokesperson attributed the move to efforts “to ensure effective and efficient operations.”
Affected employees “received severance and outplacement services. We continue to recruit for and add new team members,” the health system said.
