Two positions were eliminated despite being filled at the time. Sandy Taylor, vice president for patient care services, and Debby Keene, vice president for medical administration, safety and improvement, lost their jobs through a hospital “restructuring,” according to the report. The quoted term is what ACH President and CEO Marcy Doderer used to describe the changes in an email to staff.
Three other executives are retiring from the hospital: Tom Bonner, senior vice president for public affairs, Jeannette Perdue, vice president of operations, and Scott Gordon, executive vice president. Their positions will also be eliminated, according to the report.
ACH cut another position by combining its chief quality officer and chief medical officer jobs. Jay Deshpande, MD, chief quality officer, will now also be CMO. Former CMO W. Robert Morrow, MD, left to become executive vice president and chief clinical officer at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
ACH will be adding one job to the C-suite, though. Ms. Doderer announced the creation of a chief strategy officer position, for which it will recruit soon.
