Springfield, Ill.-based HSHS Medical Group, affiliated with St. John’s Hospital, has acquired Chatham (Ill.) Family Practice, according to a State Journal Register report.
The practice has three physicians. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but the deal did not involve a cash transaction, according to the report.
The resources of HSHS will allow the practice to convert fully to electronic medical records within about a year, according to the report.
HSHS Medical Group, part of Springfield-based Hospital Sisters Health System, is continuing to build its primary-care network in the Springfield area, according to the report.
