IPC The Hospitalist Company, based in North Hollywood, Calif., has announced it has acquired two hospital medicine practices — Hospital Medicine Associates of Florida, based in Ocala, Fla., and Transitions of Care, based in Chicago.

Bartlett Regional Hospital has named Christine Harff as CEO, according to an Anchorage Daily News report.

The Denver Health and Hospital Authority board has named Arthur Gonzalez to succeed Patricia Gabow, PhD, as CEO of Denver Health, according to a Denver Post report.

Harry Dorman, III, president and CEO of Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, N.H., has announced the he will retire May 1, 2013.

Ochsner Health System in Baton Rouge, La., has named Pete November as general counsel and senior vice president of corporate compliance, effective July 30.

Robert M. Wachter, MD, has been named chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine's board of directors.

Valinda Rutledge has been named president of Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky., and leader of parent company KentuckyOne Health's Louisville market.

Kenneth Davis, MD, serves as president and CEO of The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He was appointed in 2003.
