Brad Griffin was named the new CEO of HCA Healthcare’s Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Ga., effective March 31.

The new role marks Mr. Griffin’s return to the organization after previously serving as associate administrator and COO from 2003 to 2008, according to a hospital news release.

Most recently, Mr. Griffin served as COO at Doctors Hospital of Augusta (Ga.).

“Brad is a strong hospital operator with a track record of driving both operational and clinical success,” Hugh Tappan, president of HCA’s South Atlantic Division, said in the release. “He also has a strong connection with Fairview Park Hospital and its community.”

Mr. Griffin succeeds Don Avery, who died in January. Mr. Avery served as CEO of Fairview Park for 17 years.
