Tenet’s proposed plan is the first of three phases that will eventually lead to a 200-bed facility. The company’s proposal includes 74 rooms for research and education; 64 adult inpatient beds; a 16-bed intensive care unit; and a 13-bed emergency room.
Despite Tenet’s claim there is a significant need for the proposed hospital, other area healthcare providers expressed their opposition to the plan. Jupiter Medical Center in particular plans to file a letter of opposition.
