For the IT leadership survey, Harvey Nash and KPMG asked nearly 4,000 CIOs and technology leaders in 84 countries about their attitudes toward various aspects of their careers, including budget, technology and workforce priorities.
Here’s how CIOs responded when asked whether their staffs suffered from a skills shortage in these seven areas:
1. Big data/analytics: 46 percent
2. Technical architecture: 36 percent
3. Security and resilience: 35 percent
3. Enterprise architecture: 35 percent
5. Business analysis: 31 percent
6. Project management: 25 percent
7. Development: 24 percent
