Sweetch, a mobile health app, quantifies personal diabetes risk with its Bluetooth digital scale monitors and analyzes the user’s digital biomarkers. Along with predictive analytics, it uses this information to created detailed disease prevention recommendations for the user in real-time.
In the first phase of the launch, WellSpan Health will provide the Sweetch app to its 15,000 employees, including 200 primary care and specialty physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
“This is the tool we have been looking for to augment our wellness assessment program,” said Charles Chodroff, MD, senior vice president of population health and chief clinical officer. “We have been leaders in developing effective wellness programs for our employees and the local business community for many years and have been providing detailed personalized assessments identifying chronic disease risk factors.”
