The partnership will combine Uber Health’s existing network of drivers and payer partners with ALC’s transportation solution, which not only accounts for needed ambulatory, wheelchair and gurney services, but also validates eligibility, offers live trip tracking and provides detailed analysis of each trip.
The unified platform will allow healthcare plans and organizations to offer patients more accurate and efficient scheduling, pickup and dropoff, GPS tracking and messaging. Rides can be customized according to patient needs and, unlike traditional ridesharing services, can be scheduled without a smartphone.
