The AI technology analyzes a patient’s image scan and can alert physicians of any abnormalities to help quicken the diagnostic process, according to the report.
The technology has established a 30-minute decrease in the time it takes for a stroke patient to get treatment, VBMC neurologist Ameer Hassan, MD, told KGBT.
“…We know that time, every minute, 1.9 million neurons die,” Dr. Hassan said. “So imagine, saving 30 minutes really does make a big difference in a patient’s life.”
