MDLive Go adds asynchronous visit capabilities to the telemedicine provider’s virtual care platform. Using MDLive Go, a patient is able to use secure messaging to request assessments for acute conditions, such as sinus infections or pink eye, as well as chronic issues, such as allergies and medication refills.
After an initial interview about the patient’s concern, MDLive Go sends the patient’s inquiry to a provider who reviews the case. The provider formulates a treatment plan and prescribes medications or orders, as appropriate. Within two hours the patient will receive a notification to review his or her new care plan.
“MDLive Go challenges the outdated healthcare model by offering hyper-convenient treatment options to primary care patients while enabling providers and our health system clients to efficiently manage more patients without compromising treatment quality,” Lyle Berkowitz, MD, CMO and executive vice president of product strategy at MDLive, said in a news release.
