NueMD’s “Attitudes Towards ICD-10” survey collected 1,000 responses from healthcare professionals from all 50 states.
Just 13 percent of respondents said they are “highly confident” their business will be prepared for ICD-10 by the Oct. 1 transition date, while 31 percent said they are “not at all confident.”
Issues with claims processing is the biggest concern for organizations transitioning, with 65 percent of respondents indicating it is a significant or high concern. Following claims processing, 56 percent of respondents indicated significant/high concern with training and education, 54 percent with payer testing, 54 percent with compliance timeline and deadline and 50 percent with software upgrade cost.
