Mr. Yablonka comes to Stanford from the University of Chicago, where he served as CIO for 16 years. There, he was named CIO of the Year by the Executive Club of Chicago in 2016, and in 2007, was named CIO of the Year by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
Before joining the University of Chicago, Mr. Yablonka served as vice president and CIO at New Haven, Conn.-based Saint Raphael Healthcare System. He also held a number of other IT leadership positions at organizations such as Terrace, Ill.-based Joint Commission, Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center.
