Allscripts recorded first-quarter revenue of $346 million, a 3 percent increase from the previous year’s $335 million. Additionally, the company posted a $2 million net income attributable to Allscripts stockholders, a turnaround from the previous year’s first quarter $10 million loss.
athenahealth reported 24 percent growth in revenue for the first quarter of 2016, totaling $256.1 million, up from $206.4 million during the same period last year. The company’s $800,000 net loss in the first quarter shrank from the previous year’s first quarter net loss of $8.8 million.
Cerner‘s quarterly revenue grew 14 percent, from $99.6 million in the first quarter of 2015 to $1.14 billion this year. Additionally, the company posted $150 million in profit for the quarter, up 36 percent from the previous year’s $110 million.
McKesson‘s fourth quarter of 2016, ended March 31, resulted in $46.68 billion in quarterly revenue, up 4 percent from the previous year’s quarterly revenue of $44.93 billion. However, quarterly profit slightly dipped 2 percent, from $2.92 billion last year to $2.85 billion this year.
MEDITECH reported $117.9 million in revenue for the three months ended March 31, a 4 percent increase from the previous year’s $113 million for the first quarter. The company’s net income fell 4 percent this year compared to last, going from $19.78 million to $18.98 million.
