Through the partnership, the Indiana Clinical Translational Sciences Institute and LifeOmic aim to increase the Indianapolis-based institute’s All IN for Health engagement to more than 100,000 state residents. Bloomington-based Indiana University, Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and South Bend, Ind.-based University of Notre Dame launched ICTSI in 2008.
The All IN for Health program connects Indiana residents with healthcare opportunities, ranging from participation in research and clinical studies. Now, with LifeOmic’s Life Extend mobile app, program participants will be able to access science-based content on topics such as metabolism and nutrition. App users also will receive personalized health timelines that allow them to track their progress and habits as they work to achieve their health goals.
“All IN for Health and the Life Extend app provide a resource for residents who are looking to take simple and effective steps to help reduce their risk of chronic disease and improve their overall health,” said Don Brown, MD, CEO and founder of LifeOmic, according to the news release. “The app makes it easy to track progress and understand how daily choices impact overall well-being.”
LifeOmic’s app uses artificial intelligence to provide users recommendations personalized to help improve their health, with suggestions for physical exercise and reminders to practice mindful habits.
