Physicians’ 6 Most Commonly Used Clinical Apps

More than 75 percent of physicians use mobile apps in the course of their clinical workflow, according to a survey from MedData Group.

The most commonly used types of apps include:

  • Medication interaction checkers (48 percent)
  • Diagnosis support (27 percent)
  • Electronic health record viewers (19 percent)
  • Lab, image, test viewers (16 percent)
  • Clinical notes app (16 percent)
  • e-Prescribing (15 percent)

Survey results include 532 responses collected between December 2013 and March 2014.
