Philips rolls out Jovia Coach app for Type 2 diabetes

Royal Philips has unveiled Jovia Coach, a smartphone app that aims to reduce a user’s risk of Type 2 diabetes.

The app, which combines technology with human coaching, encourages those at risk of Type 2 diabetes to adopt healthy dietary, lifestyle and exercise habits. Jovia Coach enables users to complete challenges, to track meals and physical activity and to interact with a personal lifestyle coach and peer group.

Jovia Coach will be offered through employee benefit programs and health insurance during the second quarter of 2017.
