OhioHealth integrates app with Apple Health data into Epic

OhioHealth, based in Columbus, offers patients the OhioHealth Mobile MyChart app for health information management. One of the app’s functions allows patients to update health and fitness information through Apple Health. The health system integrates all of the data from its app into its Epic EHR, according to an iMedical Apps report.

OhioHealth is one of a number of health systems integrating patient data from Apple Health into the Epic EHR, according to the report. University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medicine, Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati and Samaritan Health Services, based in Corvallis, Ore., have launched similar initiatives, according to the report.
