The Twiage solution enables first responders to deliver real-time data — including videos, photos, voice memos and text messages — to Nyack Hospital’s emergency department. The solution also tracks the location of incoming ambulances to support the ED’s ability to prepare for patient arrivals.
Real-time information helps clinicians manage resources, assign beds and secure operating rooms in a timely manner, according to Nyack Hospital officials.
“The addition of Twiage in our facility has greatly increased our ability to prepare for incoming emergencies,” said Jeffrey Rabrich, DO, director of emergency medicine at Nyack Hospital.
The implementation was supported through $275,000 in funding from the Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative, a group of providers, community-based organizations and government officials who rally around the goal of improving the quality of life for residents in New York’s Hudson Valley.
