The activity tracking and educational app allowed users to view exercise videos, learn about the human body, track diets, monitor workouts and research symptoms.
According to a company statement, Microsoft said it regularly evaluates business areas to determine where users find the most value. “We will continue to support those apps with broad consumer appeal.”
The Health & Fitness app is separate from Microsoft Health, an app launched in October 2014 that connects to the wearable Microsoft Band.
