The layoffs are in McKesson’s sales, customer service and IT departments in its Enterprise Information Solutions business, which helps provide EHRs for hospitals.
“We continually review and adjust our operating plans based upon customer decisions, new product delivery and implementation demands and overall sales performance,” said McKesson spokeswoman Kristin Hunter.
Ms. Hunter said approximately 30 employees will continue in their positions until March. All 60 workers will be eligible for severance and outplacement services.
McKesson laid off 1,600 employees, or 4 percent of its workforce, this spring.
