Sixty-five percent of IT leaders report that skills shortage is holding the industry back, according to the 2016 Harvey Nash/KPMG CIO Survey.
Here are the top 10 areas CIOs and technology leaders say suffer from skills shortage:
1. Big data, analytics: 36 percent of respondents
2. Project management: 34 percent of respondents
3. Business analysis: 29 percent of respondents
4. Development: 27 percent of respondents
5. Enterprise architecture: 27 percent of respondents
6. Technical architecture: 24 percent of respondents
7. Security and resilience: 23 percent of respondents
8. Change management: 27 percent of respondents
9. IT strategy: 22 percent of respondents
10. Mobile solutions: 24 percent of respondents
