Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Health System has entered the design-and-build phase for its transition to the Workday enterprise resource planning system.

Johns Hopkins University and Health System selected the new platform in 2024 to replace SAP, the version of which will no longer be supported after December 2027. Starting in April, the project will engage over 100 Johns Hopkins experts to help evaluate and validate processes supporting such activities as hiring staff, generating paychecks and buying supplies. The Sightline project is scheduled for completion in 2027.

“Think of this phase like getting ready to move into a new home,” said Zack Rose, project management lead for Sightline, in an April 10 news release. “You first sort through your belongings to decide what goes to long-term storage and what goes to your new home. You then design the blueprint for your new high-tech home and the features you will need for the next chapter in your life.”
