Imprivata Confirm ID enables more than 200 Cerner customers who already use Imprivata to leverage authentication for workflows within the Cerner Millennium platform, such as e-prescribing of controlled substances, medication ordering and pharmacy dispensing.
“To deliver effective patient care, providers need to be able to access, communicate and transact patient health information through workflows such as prescribing, administering and wasting medications. To protect PHI and address drug diversion, these transactions also need to be secure, and adding an additional layer of security introduces the risk of inefficiency and potential barriers to patient care,” said Sean Kelly, MD, CMO of Imprivata. “Imprivata Confirm ID addresses this challenge through tight integration with Cerner Millennium and offering a comprehensive set of innovative and convenient authentication options.”
