In partnership with California State Polytechnic University in Ponoma, Pennsylvania State University in State College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, Watson for Cyber Security will be trained in the “language of cybersecurity,” according to IBM.
The company will look to its X-Force research library as a reservoir of materials to educate Watson for Cyber Security. IBM hopes the new initiative will help provide insights on emerging trends and cybersecurity threats for a number of industries.
University participation will benefit both Watson for Cyber Security and the students involved, according to IBM, as they will be among the first to gain experience in the field of cognitive security. The project will also create the Accelerated Cognitive Cybersecurity Laboratory built in collaboration with the University of Maryland, BaltimoreCounty’s college of engineering and information technology.
