Verily, widely known as the life sciences arm of Google’s parent company Alphabet, registered 14 lobbyists from Washington, D.C.-based Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas on a Senate filing cited by Politico.
The 14 lobbyists are expected to work on issues related to “wellness, health system reform, data science, population health and public health,” according to the filing.
Verily aims to apply technology to prevent, detect and manage diseases.
