Earlier this month, documents on certain Summit patients’ hospital discharges from Dec. 2010-April 2011 were stolen from an employee’s car parked at his or her home. The information included patients’ names, dates of birth, primary physician’s names, names of hospitals, diagnoses and dates of discharges.
Summit said it will change its procedures for printing paper reports and will store information electronically, according to the report.
