The FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health established the program to support the agency’s Digital Health Software Precertification pilot, which it announced in August.
EIR fellows will work on-site at the Silver Spring, Md.-based FDA White Oak campus. They will analyze software, develop and test models for data collection and analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders, among other tasks.
Fellows must be able to commit a minimum of six months to the program. The FDA emphasized the position is temporary and will not result in a full-time federal position.
The program is accepting applications through Sept. 29.
