Talihina, Okla.-based Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority has transitioned to an Epic EHR, the Paris (Texas) News reported.

As part of the switch, the health system’s patients can now use MyChart, according to the April 8 story.

“This digital health tool is a game-changer, making healthcare more accessible and efficient, particularly for those in rural and remote areas,” Gary Batton, chief of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, told the news outlet. “By embracing this technology, we are empowering our people to take control of their health and improve their overall healthcare experience.”

Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority was previously on Resource and Patient Management System, or RPMS, an EHR used by the Indian Health Service.
