Meditech has added new workflow features to its Traverse Exchange interoperability solution, including a consolidated patient summary that gives clinicians streamlined access to patient data from multiple sources.

The announcement was made at Meditech Live, the company’s annual leadership summit. The summary filters out redundant information and organizes key data in an accessible, searchable format within the EHR workflow, aiming to improve clinician efficiency and reduce cognitive load.

According to a Sept. 18 news release, Traverse Exchange has expanded to 112 health systems, representing more than 500 facilities across 39 states and territories. Meditech said it is working with customers to roll out the latest advancements across its network.

The company said its interoperability efforts also extend to Canada through the Traverse Exchange Canada network, where the new features will be introduced.
