The error was not the result of a data breach. However, patients’ prescriptions and refill history were lost as well as insurance information. It is unclear how many patient records were deleted. In 2017, Creighton University’s pharmacy filled 50,000 prescriptions, Live Well Nebraska reports.
All patients must be re-entered into the database. If patients are seeking prescriptions, they will need to contact their physician who can write a new one. Patients can also request their pharmacy contact their physician.
