HL7 designed the accelerator program to support organizations adopting Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, better known as FHIR. FHIR is one of the most popular interoperability standards used for exchanging electronic data in the healthcare industry.
The accelerator program will work to facilitate FHIR adoption by connecting organizations with various support solutions, such as self-service templates, contracted project management and infrastructure services.
“HL7 FHIR has achieved remarkable adoption on a global scale,” HL7 CEO Charles Jaffe, MD, PhD, said in a news release. “An ever-growing community of implementers has emerged across a broad spectrum of healthcare, eager to participate in an agile onramp for FHIR adoption and implementation.”
