The 500th issued patent aims to reduce clinicians’ documentation burden by leveraging voice input technology and natural language processing. The product can capture the conversation between a clinician and patient to document the medical visit and identify and extract relevant information to then present directly on the clinician’s mobile device.
The EHR vendor’s patent program is also exploring additional patents, including technology that supports data migration to the cloud as well as artificial intelligence and analytics to improve clinician and patient experiences, among others.
