Other key finds of the report include:
• EHRs reduced duplicate testing reached an annual saving of $99 million in 2012.
• Ninety-four percent of physicians reported that their patients received test results faster when they used EHRs.
• Ninety-six percent of physicians reported that they are better able to coordinate their patients care due to EHRs.

Electronic health record adoption in Canada helped save more
than $1.3 billion in administrative efficiencies, reduced adverse events and
duplicate testing and improved disease management from 2006 to 2012, according
to a PwC
survey, commissioned by Canada Health Infoway.
