Fujifilm, a diagnostic imaging products and medical informatics solutions provider, will supply services under the DOD and the VA’s digital imaging network-picture archiving and communication system IV project. Under the project, U.S. government healthcare providers will be able to purchase and install technologies from Fujifilm’s Synapse enterprise imaging portfolio.

The Fujifilm products will also play a role in the DOD’s MHS Genesis project, which aims to improve interoperability for more than 9.4 million DOD beneficiaries through a transition to a Cerner EHR.

The five-year Fujifilm contract, which has a maximum value of $768 million, contains a five-year renewal option.
